Job Description

The Role:Strategy is seeking a highly motivated Director of Outbound Product Management ito drive our external-facing product efforts. This is a key role responsible for supporting the go-to-market strategy for our analytics and AI platforms. You will work closely with leadership to champion our products and collaborate cross-functionally to drive market adoption and revenue growth.

This is a senior individual contributor role. This role is not focused on building product roadmaps, but on providing the market data and insights that inform and validate them. You will be the expert on customer needs and the competitive landscape, ensuring our products are not only best-in-class but also resonate with the market.

In-Office Position: At Strategy, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are in-office days with Fridays as work-from-home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Go-to-Market Strategy: Partner with cross-functional teams, including product marketing, sales, and engineering, to lead the execution of go-to-market strategies for all major product releases. Serve as the primary subject matter expert, providing strategic direction for the GTM planning process.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence: Drive a deep understanding of the market landscape by engaging directly with customers, prospects, analysts, and partners. Synthesize insights on customer needs, industry trends, and competitor strategies, translating them into actionable feedback for our core product and engineering teams.
  • Sales & Partner Enablement: Serve as a product expert in high-stakes sales cycles and with strategic partners. Collaborate with the Product Marketing team to validate and refine sales enablement materials, ensuring they are accurate, compelling, and aligned with market needs.
  • External Product Communication: Serve as a key spokesperson for our products. Cultivate and support relationships with key customers and industry analysts. Deliver high-impact presentations and demonstrations at conferences and major customer events, articulating the "why" behind our product strategy and communicating product value to a variety of external audiences.
  • Content Strategy: Contribute to the company's thought leadership and content strategy by acting as a subject matter expert. Provide insights and guidance for the creation of compelling content, including blog posts, white papers, and case studies, that build market credibility.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in product management or a similar outward-facing product role, with a proven track record of supporting the successful launch and scaling of enterprise software products in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders by acting as the voice of the market.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
  • Deep knowledge of the business intelligence, data analytics, or AI software market.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize market feedback to inform product and business strategy.
