Role:

To receive and process approved consumer loan applications; to verify all data is complete and complies with bank and regulatory requirements; to prepare loan documents and disclosures in accordance with regulatory requirements; to upload/book consumer loans to the bank's core system.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Reviews consumer loan applications in loan origination software and verify all application data is complete and meets bank standards. Identify and review policy exceptions for appropriate approval.

Prepares consumer loan documents in accordance with bank policy and regulatory requirements.

Prepares adverse action notices according to regulation.

Upload/Book consumer loans to bank's core system.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

To comply with the letter and with the spirit of the bank's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

To maintain the confidentiality of customer and any other sensitive information.

To be punctual and have regular attendance.

4.

To produce loan documents, reports, and new accounts in a timely fashion, with no errors.

To maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.

To maintain working knowledge of all mortgage products and rates, both within the bank and in the industry overall.

To cross sell bank products and services.

8.

To complete required training and undertake additional training as needed to increase job knowledge and maximize productivity.

To develop and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with department/branch staff.

10.

To acquire and maintain a working knowledge of regulations and bank procedures; to comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and other laws and regulations.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Education

(1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills

Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills

Must have good communication, computer, typewriter, and keyboard skills.

Physical Requirements

The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the office to interact with associates and access office machinery and file cabinets. The person in the position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and printer.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as calculators, computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines.
