Are you ready to lead a high-performing team and make a meaningful impact on customer relationships and sales strategies at Cencora? As the Director of National Accounts, you'll work under the strategic guidance of the Vice President - National Accounts to oversee a team of National Account Sales Executives. Together, you'll manage and grow relationships with our National Accounts Group and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) customers, ensuring their needs are met and their experience exceeds expectations.

In this dynamic role, you'll identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and drive business success by developing and implementing innovative Project Charters. You'll focus on achieving ambitious goals for sales growth, profitability, and customer retention while uncovering cross-departmental selling opportunities to maximize Cencora's reach and impact.

Your leadership will be pivotal in strengthening relationships with National Accounts, ensuring customers receive exceptional service and support. Additionally, you'll play a key role in shaping and executing Cencora's overall National Account strategy, driving performance and satisfaction while contributing to the company's vision for success.

  • Builds, enhances and maintains effective relationships with National Accounts to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Leads a team of Sales Executives who are responsible for maintaining existing relationships with national customers and for continuously identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience.
  • Develops and implements Project Charters to support customer's key initiatives. Tracks charter results to ensure effectiveness.
  • Establish value adds within customer accounts to generate loyalty and traction.
  • Proactively drives National Account and GPO profitability through maximizing PRxO opportunities.
  • Builds relationships with GPO teams; ensures strong ongoing relationships with GPO leadership.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to internal stakeholders and consults on complex relationship management/sales solutions to optimize customer satisfaction and achieve desired business results.
  • Builds and directs a more complex relationship platform by identifying senior contacts within targeted accounts to achieve profitable sales and Cencora Enterprise growth.
  • Identify and lead cross-departmental initiatives and opportunities in support of Cencora.
  • Provides leadership and oversight to internal teams working to fulfill account needs while maintaining personal ownership of these issues through resolution.
  • Provides feedback and intelligence to internal partners on existing and targeted customers.
  • Conducts customer meetings and QBRs while bringing strategic value to customers.
  • Identifies and resolves complex client issues/concerns in a timely and collaborative manner.
  • Meets or exceeds all department sales goals/targets for the assigned national accounts.

Requirements:

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations. Requires a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of five (5) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%
  • Ability and commitment to identify opportunities to develop productive Sales Executive and Account Manager; ability to serve as a mentor and manager simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of Healthcare Systems industries, trends, and challenges facing customers
  • Ability to develop, forecast, and own responsibility for strategic sales targets
  • Ability to work with Sales Executive to identify and prioritize sales leads
  • Excellent consultative selling skills and desire to continually develop/hone them
  • Excellent working knowledge of suite of Cencora programs and solutions that can offer increased customer value and enhance stickiness
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Excellent customer service skills to address potential issues through channels such as Customer Care without compromising selling-focused conversation
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and probing skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong time management skills; ability to schedule customer appointments in advance
  • Good understanding of value and profit

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
