Here's what you'd do:

  • The Associate Logistics Technician is responsible for their own work.
  • This position reports to the Stockroom Supervisor, the Stockroom Coordinator(s), and Packaging Clerk(s).
  • They maintain accurate stock balances, issue and receive parts, and verify stockroom cycle counts and error reconciliations.
  • 32 transaction screens could be used daily to perform the activities listed; therefore, a large part of the job is knowing how and when to use the appropriate transaction.
  • This demands that the stock clerk constantly be aware of the lot numbers that are being requested.
  • The Stockroom Clerk may be asked to interface daily with Program Analysts, Engineers, Dispatch Personnel, Model Shop Expediters, Receiving Inspection Personnel, and Assembly and Test Personnel.
  • They will also train any new employees and may be asked to work in different stockrooms as workload necessitates.
  • The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for identifying or questioning deviations to standard practices such as cure dates, packaging, and material handling.
  • They sign off on Certification Sheets on spare parts.
  • Additionally, Stockroom housekeeping activities such as cleaning material handling pans, keeping the stockroom neat and orderly, consolidating inventory and maintaining supplies will be necessary.
  • Process Material movement physically and systematically.
  • Receive and process inbound and outbound material.
  • Pull and put away material to respective staging locations.
  • Perform inventory reconciliation(2-Bins).
  • Manage transactions for Nonconforming material physically and systematically.
  • Prepare paperwork and send out items needed for outside processing.
  • Complete Cycle Counts, Shelf-Life Management for paint.
  • Expedite outside machining and processing through vendors as needed to meet production schedules.
  • Schedule courier (Jet) pickups and deliveries for incoming and outgoing OSP
  • Create/prepare work order splits when partial lots are received.
  • Monitor assigned queues; clear any ageing WO
  • Investigate and resolve ageing WIP and any other projects
  • Ensure transaction compliance
  • Direct the activities of the production truck driver in the movement of parts and all other activities.
  • Assist in any dispatch task as needed.
  • Support the timely meeting of production schedules by moving, coordinating, expediting and processing jobs throughout the floor.
  • Package and verify parts, assuring correct paperwork is sent and received.
  • Provide direction to the activities to the team & production driver as related to the vendor or the Stockroom.
  • Assure timely and accurate response to Customers' (internal/external) inquiries related to technical specifications on the OP sheet, material, delivery, and quantity questions.
  • Participate in the normal dispatch material and paperwork flow.
  • Provide backup to the Dispatch supporting roles.

Pay: $24.00 /hr.

Hours: 40 hours/week (1st Shift).

Length: Temp (12 months)

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of 10 Key Typing experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • The incumbent is fully versed in and knows all transaction screens necessary to perform: verifications, corrections, kit issues, shop floor issues, shortages, receipts from the shop, receipts from Receiving Inspection, returns to stock, inter-stock transfers and spares shipments.
  • A high degree of accuracy is necessary because all parts are traceable by lot.
  • Keyboard accuracy is also critical because we work in an online, real-time environment where errors can be immediately accepted and processed.
  • Moreover, proper packaging and handling techniques are necessary to prevent damage to parts and finished goods and to avoid injury to the clerks.
  • Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) training and handling are also requirements.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Physically, the job demands that the stock clerk be constantly on their feet and able to lift parts and boxes weighing less than a pound to 65 lbs.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
