What to Expect
The suspension system defines the ride and handling of the vehicle. It is core to the driving experience of a Tesla. We use ride height controls and corner level damping controls to influence the character of the car. We arelooking for a software integration engineer for suspension software development, to lead the development of current and future suspension software, across all our current production roadmap from Model S and X to Semi to the Roadster. As a software integration engineer, you will define the system and software requirements, prototype and evaluate software - both on a bench and in-vehicle, and lead the release of this software through rigorous validation. You will work directly with hardware, vehicle dynamics, and electrical systems teams to shape the suspension roadmap. An integration engineer is a generalist position where you will contribute across various aspects like writing code, physics modeling, controls, in-vehicle debugging, and program management. You will also support manufacturing readiness for new suspension introductions and support service for fleet issue diagnostics. If you are excited about working at the intersection of software, electronics, and mechanics, then this is the role for you. Come join an industry-leading team that solves challenging problems that span safety-critical software, embedded systems, motor controls, electronic actuation, and vehicle dynamics. Help us accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy by shaping the driving experience of our electric vehicles. What You'll Do
