The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) within the Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking a Sr. Configuration Manager expert in Fort Belvoir, VA to join a new program and play a key role in supporting government-critical systems. You will be part of a program that oversees development, integration, delivery, and operations and maintenance of IT managed services.

Job Description:

  • Collaborate with multiple teams of engineers, system administrators, software developers, and others to ensure consistent execution of configuration and change control processes.

  • Perform data analytics to ensure 100% accuracy of agency databases reflecting current developments, updates, and transactions.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute weekly Change Control, Requirement Review, and Engineering Review Boards.

  • Coordinated the logistics & procurement of software license purchases and renewals.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management plans, policies, work instructions, and procedures to ensure system consistency and compliance.

  • Manage the evaluation, approval, and documentation of changes to systems, applications, and infrastructure.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of configuration settings, baselines, and system components.

  • Ensure baselines are established, tracked, and monitored for system reliability and compliance.

  • Implement and manage configuration management tools (e.g., ServiceNow / Remedy).

  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline configuration and change management processes.

  • Regularly monitor configuration data and system performance to identify inconsistencies or risks.

  • Generate detailed reports on configuration status, changes, and compliance metrics.

  • Identify and troubleshoot configuration-related issues, ensuring that minimal disruption occurs to systems and operations.

  • Assist with procedure/processes establishment to implement implementing changes to workflows; offer customer support as required.

  • Review and analyze approved production change releases and coordinate with engineering, implementations, operations teams as required to ensure that changes are implemented and documented.

  • Manage incident ticket task data for reporting metrics and data analytics

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of relevant job experience.Work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Significant experience with Configuration and Change Management.

  • Expertise utilizing Remedy and ServiceNow platforms

  • Experience briefing at the executive level (i.e. C-Suite, SES, General Officer)

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required. Must be U.S. Citizen.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience working with mission-critical or government systems, especially in regulated environments.

  • Expertise with configuration and change management tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar systems.

  • Certifications in service management frameworks such as ITIL 4 Foundation or DevOps.

  • Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2)
