Description
  • Oversees the day to day operations of the telecommunications department.
  • Responds and directs call and assists manager with Telecommunications department operations.
  • Scheduling, providing feedback to the director regarding potential corrective actions, and serves in a supervisory capacity as guided by, or in the absence of, the Director of Operations.
  • Participate in all hiring interviews and decisions and are responsible for all Kronos, PTO requests, compliance or mandated training.
  • Accountable for completing routine performance review and evaluations.
  • Assists the Director of Operations in developing policies and procedures for the telecommunications department and communicates new policies and procedures to the staff.
  • Provides feedback to the staff when they are not following the policies and procedures correctly.
  • Maintains the phone system database, including paging accounts, special notes, Overbridged lists and call schedules.
  • Answers and directs all internal and external calls, works with audio and radio paging system. The coordinator is a working position and will be included in the schedule to answer and direct calls received by the telecommunications department.
  • Performs daily report per shift with operators of duties and assignments
  • Cover open shifts when necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
  • Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
  • Full time 40 hours per week.
  • Monday-Friday.
  • This is the day shift: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.
  • Coordinator or lead experience strongly preferred.
