Here's what you'd do:

  • The Transition to Manufacturing Project Manager will act as the Primary Operations leader for the project, overseeing a design project from prototype to full-scale high-speed manufacturing.
  • They will work with Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Management, and Sector Resources to align manufacturing capabilities with the program's needs.
  • This individual will report directly to the Operations Division leader and have dotted-line reporting to the Program Manager.
  • Responsible for developing the schedule, daily execution, and reporting status to Operations and Program Leadership.
  • Work with Technical Leads to Design for Manufacturing.
  • Provide process feedback from the Manufacturing and Test Engineering teams to the Program team.
  • Attend Customer meetings and reviews as necessary, and act as Operations Lead during Design Reviews.
  • Facilitate Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality participation in design development to identify and address manufacturability, testability, and inspectability issues.
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Supply Chain, and other functional organizations across the program.
  • Lead the organization in developing and implementing operating philosophies and business strategies.
  • Visit other manufacturing sites to review best practices.
  • Develop, implement and sustain success metrics, incorporating best practices.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $84.00/hr.

Hours: 40 hours/week (1st Shift).

Length: Temp to Direct (12 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED with at least 16 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 16 years of experience manufacturing Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs).
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management with at least 12 years of experience.
  • Master's Degree in Management with at least 10 years of experience.
  • Experience in the following fields of Operational Excellence:
    1. Understanding of lean principles around pull systems, mix/max controls.
    2. One Piece Flow or Pull System manufacturing flow.
    3. Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
    4. 5S+1 Visual Factory.
    5. Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP).
    6. Gemba implementation.
  • Demonstrated MRP/MES System adherence.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001:2015; AS9100D and QMS adherence.
  • Aerospace & Defense electronics experience, high-speed factory experience.
  • Working knowledge and experience in Earned Value Management and/or comprehensive estimate-at-complete (EAC) establishment and analysis.
  • Working knowledge and experience in manufacturing labor standards (hours-per-unit) establishment and analysis.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • An effective communicator at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
