Position Summary: Our client is seeking a permanent AD&D Underwriter with at least five years of experience in life and accident insurance underwriting. This role involves evaluating complex risk profiles, mentoring junior underwriters, and contributing to the development of underwriting strategies and guidelines. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AD&D products, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset. Key Responsibilities: * Evaluate and underwrite individual and group AD&D insurance applications with a focus on complex or high-risk cases. * Analyze occupational, lifestyle, travel, and medical risk factors to determine coverage eligibility and pricing. * Make sound underwriting decisions in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements. * Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for junior underwriters and cross-functional teams. * Collaborate with actuarial, product development, and sales teams to support product innovation and market competitiveness. * Contribute to the refinement of underwriting guidelines and risk assessment tools. * Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and maintain best practices. * Participate in audits, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications * Minimum of 5 years insurance industry experience with a proven track record and familiarity with the intricacies of underwriting Group AD&D. * Knowledge of Group Life and Disability (Short & Long Term) is a plus. * Bachelors degree is preferred * Microsoft Office Suite, Excel knowledge and usage specifically * Customer Service/Client Services Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $95000.00/yr. * Medical, dental & vision * Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital * 401(k) Retirement Plan - Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available * Profit Sharing * Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents - fully paid) * Short and long-term disability (fully paid) * Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation & Sick Leave) Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Moorestown,NJ.
