As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. An exciting opportunity awaits an attentive individual looking to advance and excel in software testing and automation.

What you'll be doing

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#

  • Develop and implement automated test cases to guarantee the quality and reliability of software applications

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, quality assurance, and product management, to identify and prioritize testing needs

Test Automation Frameworks and Tools

  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Playwright

  • Apply version control systems, such as Git, to manage and track changes to test automation scripts

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and technologies

Test Data Management

  • Implement test data management strategies to ensure accurate and efficient testing

  • Develop and maintain test data sets, including data creation, data validation, and data cleanup

  • Work closely with development teams to guarantee seamless integration of test data in the testing process

Test Environment Management

  • Maintain test environments, including virtual machines, containers, and cloud-based environments

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure test environments are properly configured and maintained

  • Fixing and resolving test environment issues to ensure smooth testing operations

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with various teams, including development, quality assurance, and product management, to ensure testing needs are met

  • Inform development teams and other customers about test results, defects, and issues

  • Participate in testing meetings, including test planning, test execution, and test review meetings

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Up to 2 years of experience within software testing and automation

  • Ability to work with Python, Java, or C# programming languages

  • Proficiency in test automation tools like Selenium or Appium

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies

  • Skillful in coordinating revision control tools like Git

  • Expertise in leading all aspects of test data and the environments for testing

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $72,000 to $99,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
