We are looking for a self-motivated, organized individual who is passionate about patient care and excited for the opportunity to independently manage their cases with confidence and accountability. This position will be a 50/50 split between Peritoneal Dialysis Technician (PD) and Regional Operations Coordinator (ROC), you will be providing education on peritoneal dialysis to your patients and their care partners in a clinical setting, which then allows them to dialyze from home as well as managing administrative duties.

You will be expected to travel about 50% of the time and the travel will have mileage reimbursement.

** Hemodialysis Experience is required.

Schedule

  • Typically, an 8-hour day, Monday through Friday with weekends and holidays off! - Travel within Erie Coast Division is required

  • This position will require Peritoneal training and ROC training

  • Flexibility as you manage your own cases and as a result, own your own schedule.

  • Scheduled home visits and on-call shifts vary by program and are compensated accordingly.

  • Some of the needs will be remote while others will be on-site

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be comfortable working around blood and needles

  • Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb

  • Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet so wear comfortable shoes! Our work ends when it's safe for our patients.

  • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.

  • Dialysis experience including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT).

PD Patient Care Technician responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Collects patient data and reports to nurse as needed related to: *
  • Monitoring and documenting status of vascular accesses *
  • Documenting patient observations and seeks guidance when levels are out of normal range for ESKD patients *
  • Reporting patient parameters to registered nurse as needed *
  • Under guidance of nurse and/or preceptor initiates dialysis via approved accesses using proper cannulation or central venous catheter techniques in accordance with state, federal and local regulations

ROC administrative responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Calendar management; scheduling of meetings; writing/editing speeches and presentations; travel arrangements; project management; and other administrative/managerial duties as required *
  • Participates in and attends management level meetings and take minutes, as directed *
  • Receives and screens communications to the ROD including telephone calls and e-mail messages, and provide assistance using independent judgment to determine those requiring priority attention; prioritizes, channels, and facilitates communication throughout the organization to his staff and their subordinates *
  • Prepares expense reports to ensure accuracy of all account codes for correct payment of expenses *
  • Constant updating and re-arrangement of appointments on the calendar *
  • Coordinates and arranges conference calls and gather data and prepare DeNovo information as needed such as (but not limited to) proposals, bids, state walk-through of facility *
  • Coordinates new facility open houses *
  • Prepares Monthly Facility Report Calendar and follow through with facilities *
  • Manages calendar and coordinates meetings with facility directors, administrators, and corporate personnel *
  • Acts as a department liaison *
  • Other duties as assigned
