Manager to expand our presence on the East Coast, focusing on building strategic
relationships and driving revenue growth.
Job Summary
As a Business Development Manager (East Coast), you will play a pivotal role in
identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the aerospace
sector. This remote position requires extensive travel to visit Original
Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and authorized distribution customers across the East Coast region.
You will collaborate closely with our sales engineer for technical support,
allowing you to focus on relationship-building, market analysis, and strategic
sales initiatives. This role reports to the Director of Sales (Americas) and
offers the flexibility of remote work with a competitive compensation package.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and target potential OEM
and authorized distribution customers in the East Coast aerospace market, developing
targeted outreach strategies to generate leads and secure new business.
Conduct on-site visits,
presentations, and meetings with key decision-makers to understand
customer needs, showcase our fastener product portfolio, and negotiate
contracts.
Build and maintain long-term
relationships with existing and prospective clients, acting as the primary
point of contact for business development activities.
Analyze market trends, competitor
activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic planning and
recommend product or service enhancements.
Collaborate with internal teams,
including sales, engineering, and operations, to provide comprehensive
solutions during customer engagements, ensuring seamless technical support
and customer service.
Track sales pipelines, forecast
revenue opportunities, and report on business development metrics to
senior leadership.
Represent the company at industry
trade shows, conferences, and networking events on the East Coast to
enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
Ensure compliance with aerospace
industry regulations and standards in all business dealings.
This role is fully remote.
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum of five (5) years of professional sales experience in manufacturing
Minimum of three (3) years of
professional experience in the aerospace industry, with a focus on sales,
business development, or account management.
MBA from an accredited
institution.
Proven track record of success in
B2B sales within the manufacturing or aerospace sectors.
Strong understanding of the
aerospace supply chain, particularly OEM and distribution channels.
Excellent communication,
negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to travel extensively (up
to 50-70%) throughout the East Coast, including overnight stays.
Proficiency in CRM tools, and
Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
Experience in the fastener or
components manufacturing industry.
Familiarity with East Coast aerospace
hubs (e.g., North
Carolina, Florida, Georgia).
Bachelor's degree in Business,
Marketing, or a related field (in addition to the MBA).
Knowledge of aerospace standards
such as AS9100 and NADCAP.
Compensation
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000.
Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
