The Clinic Manager actively manages the daily operations and development of larger clinics, multi-specialty programs or complex/acute care specialty clinic(s) requiring advanced clinic management skills. This role actively coaches and engages all staff and management while modeling expected behaviors and holding staff accountable. The Clinic Manager supervises clinic performance to improve quality of direct patient contact and improve patient, employee and provider satisfaction. This position is responsible for the clinic budget to meet objectives, identifying and evaluating barriers to clinic success, crafting solutions, implementing improvement plans and working to increase the flow of information between the clinic and Medical Directors to improve physician utilization, understand physician needs and maximize the use of personnel and resources. This role will also assist leadership in achieving coordination, consistency and integration of clinics and/or programs within the larger care system, while continuously focusing on reducing non-value added tasks, as perceived by the patient and provider, to improve the overall efficiencies of the clinic operation and patient center care.

Clinic Manager Overview

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Actively manages staff and daily clinic(s) operations by directly observing staff and clinic processes 50% of the time, using those observations to train staff, drive accountability and recognize opportunities for improvement directly or through directing clinic and patient care supervisors focusing on quality care, staff engagement, customer experience, financial stewardship, along with Research and Education
  • Directly leads staff by hiring, staffing, providing feedback, promoting, assigning work, rewarding performance, focusing, providing direction, training, reviewing performance, succession planning, handling grievances/suspensions and modeling and recognizing expected performance
  • Reviews and approves employees' work schedules, considering patient/family needs, staffing requirements, and policies and procedures
  • Assesses professional development needs of staff and monitors annual in-service training programs to meet those needs
  • Leads in a manner that promotes continuous quality improvement and M Physician's values
  • Actively runs clinic operations and is available to staff, especially during critical times such as clinic start-up, incorporating a "Go and See" management style
  • Shadows patients, providers, and staff as a way to provide on-the-job mentor and training

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior management experience, or advanced clinical training and management experience
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare as a patient care supervisor, nurse manager, clinic supervisor or Health Care Administrator
  • Experience managing a multi-disciplinary healthcare team
  • Financial management and process improvement skills
  • Solid understanding of continuous quality improvement principles
  • Facilitation/coaching skills, both with individuals and with teams
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Knowledge of relevant corporate compliance laws, healthcare regulations, and org policies

Compensation:

104,104.00 - 156,167.00 USD Annual
