Senior Trade Manager

Responsibilities & tasks

  • Oversee the North American Feed Ingredient trading platform, including domestic procurement of product, containerized export, and overseas sales of products including but not limited to SBM, DDGS, CGM, and animal proteins.
  • PnL and risk management responsibility for the Feed Ingredient product segment.
  • Consistently monitor various geographical price points for feed ingredients to understand and communicate best-buy values and arbitrage opportunities.
  • Management responsibilities for one or more origination/sales merchandisers to support the program.
  • Effective cross-functional communication with the logistics, finance, and freight teams to facilitate efficient execution of the trade flows
  • Draft, review, and input contracts into the MyFrey system and issuance of the same and weekly create reports detailing price and market activity for feed products within scope.

Reporting: Internal communication and coordination are expected to enable professional development, performance management, and coordination with colleagues. Engagement in the following reporting structures is expected.

  • Relevant and timely reporting to the relevant stakeholders. Ensure reporting is efficient and value adding, always.
  • Host monthly one-on-one meetings with direct reports focusing on objectives and personal development
  • Participation in monthly one-to-one meetings with immediate manager to unleash potential through focus on individual development and learning objectives.
  • Maintenance of personal calendar in Outlook to enable coordination and communication with colleagues.

Traveling: Required to travel as part of the role and as part of participating in company initiatives and culture building, primarily domestically, but also internationally from time to time.

Job Type:

Full Time

Salary:

$230,000 - $250,000*

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.

Full time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.
