About the Role



  • Elastomer mixing and testing which include sample preparations and generating test reports based on ASTM procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform all required testing with universal machine tester, durometers, lap shear set fixtures, thermal conductivity meter, viscotester, profilometer, electrical resistance, ovens, calipers, peel tester.
  • Understands current data collection and documentation.
  • Mixing elastomer compounds with rubber mills and other internal mixers and filtration systems.
  • Run DOE for higher temperature fiber optics sensors
  • Assist in engineering prototype builds
  • Provides training assistance to Technicians on transfer of new product introduction to manufacturing.



Your Key Responsibilities


Product & Process Documentation:



  • Complete assignments following the instructions of others or as indicated by explicit documentation



Testing and Evaluation:



  • Build/assemble prototypes, fixtures, and other equipment or machinery
  • Perform tests, inspections, and other evaluations of products and processes based on defined procedures and standards



Technical Support:



  • Recurrent on product, process, and equipment developments
  • Provide input to resolution of internal and external customer technical issues


Administrative Activities:



  • Assist with inventory management
  • Understand and follow all organization and department safety policies and procedures



Required Qualifications



  • Two-year degree or high-school graduate and related experience (3-5 years)
