Summary of Position Functions

We're looking for a hands-on, eager-to-learn Electrical Apprentice to join our team focused on energy-efficient construction projects. In this entry-level role, you'll assist licensed electricians on-site with installing and maintaining systems designed to reduce energy use - including LED lighting, solar panels, and smart controls. This is a great opportunity to start your electrical career while gaining real-world experience in sustainable building practices. Essential Position Functions

  • Assist electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including energy-efficient lighting, solar panels, and smart home technology.

  • Pull wire, install conduit, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.

  • Learn and follow safety protocols on job sites.

  • Help read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.

  • Prepare and clean job sites before and after installations.

  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

  • Document work progress and report to supervisors.

Education and Qualifications

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Basic understanding of electrical systems or willingness to learn.
  • Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in a state-certified electrical apprenticeship program.
  • Strong interest in energy efficiency construction practices.
  • Ability to work well in a team and take direction.
  • Reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor in varying conditions.

  • Valid driver's license.
