AV is seeking an Inventory and Logistics Associate to become a part of a dynamic Materials and Logistics team, reporting directly to the Logistics Manager. The Inventory and Logistics Associate is responsible for accurately receiving, storing, organizing, and shipping incoming and outgoing goods. This role involves managing inventory, preparing orders for shipment, kitting products, and operating a forklift to move materials safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and skilled at maintaining inventory accuracy, quality control standards, and smooth logistics operations.

The Inventory & Logistics Associate is at the heart of our operations, ensuring that the right materials are in the right place, at the right time. This role combines hands-on warehouse responsibilities with critical inventory management to keep our projects moving. The selected candidate will be expected to perform the following functions:



  • Inventory Tracking: Accurately record items in the inventory management system, ensuring quantities and descriptions match system records.
  • Receive Shipments: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders, ensuring all products are correct and free from damage or defects.
  • Product Organization: Organize and label items in designated storage areas, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Cycle Counts: Perform regular inventory audits, including cycle counts, to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Shipping: Prepare and pack products for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. Coordinate with carriers and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate shipping.
  • Kitting: Assemble various components into kits based on specific customer orders or production needs, ensuring all parts are complete, accurate, and meet quality standards.
  • Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to move, load, and unload inventory and shipments as needed, adhering to all safety protocols and equipment guidelines.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of all receiving, shipping, and inventory activities, including discrepancies, returns, adjustments, and shipments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members from purchasing, sales, and operations to coordinate the flow of goods, resolve inventory-related issues, and meet customer order requirements.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols, operating equipment safely and following company guidelines.


Required Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.


Desired Qualifications:



  • Forklift certification or experience is preferred. Must be able to obtain certification after hire.
  • Previous experience in inventory, shipping, or warehouse roles preferred.
  • Training in inventory management, logistics, or shipping is a plus.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Steel toed boots and safety glasses are required for certain tasks.


Salary Range: $45,000-$55,000

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
