Practice Details

Bariatric Innovations is a Northside Physician Practice offering minimally invasive bariatric and general surgery as well as a robust medical weight loss program. Our board-certified physicians specialize in robotic, abdominal and endocrine surgery, along with performing the latest surgical techniques to treat obesity. Our multidisciplinary team also includes four registered dietitians who provide nutritional counseling to empower patients on their weight-loss journey and assist them in reaching their health and wellness goals.

Performs scheduling functions as designated by practice. Schedules surgeries, procedures and diagnostic testing. Requires general knowledge of specified surgical procedures, exam preparations, exam sequencing and other related functions.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of Medical terminology
  2. One year previous medical related clerical experience
  3. Demonstrated organizational and communication/customer service skills
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in utilization of computer application
  5. Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  6. Ability to type effectively
  7. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with individuals in all levels of responsibility.
  8. Ability to work independently.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

  1. Previous experience in hospital/medical office scheduling environment.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of a computerized scheduling system
  3. Prior experience in insurance precertification
  4. One (1) year secretarial experience at a healthcare organization.
