Compensation

$114,000 - $139,000 Per Year Plus Excellent Benefits!

Job Summary

The Sourcing Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders and be responsible for managing and developing sourcing strategies for national and global categories including general services, plant and quarry services, IT, and fleet management used in the construction industry. This position will develop, administer, and evaluate the Strategic Sourcing Process for assigned categories and will be responsible for developing critical internal and external relationships.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop supplier performance, relationships, and agreements for their categories, while collaborating with stakeholders to create a competitive advantage for Colas
  • Engage cross-functional teams using analysis of historical spend data, market research and cost modeling to identify and leverage high value opportunities that deliver innovative and sustainable value, operational efficiencies, and risk mitigation to the business
  • Interacts with internal business partners to achieve involvement in procurement
  • Develop procurement roadmaps in support of the subsidiary's objectives
  • Leverage company spend nationally and globally to ensure financial benefit to the company
  • Provide market and opportunity analysis to stakeholders
  • Prepare and negotiate contract terms and conditions for agreements
  • Analyzes contract documents to determine contractual obligations, preparing recommendations regarding acceptance or modifications
  • Identification, vetting, and selection of new vendors and services
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with suppliers based on the highest ethical business practices.
  • Act as the primary liaison to suppliers within assigned categories and use market research and spend analysis tools to analyze supplier performance
  • Identify and anticipate business needs; develop recommendations and solutions
  • Develop, manage, and influence implementation of policies related to supplier commitments
  • Collect, analyze, and develop a sourcing plan and conduct sourcing activities while ensuring delivery and quality requirements are satisfied
Education/ Technical Knowledge/ Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree or M.B.A preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years of strategic sourcing experience in a large manufacturing environment with exposure to engineering, plant operations, and/or maintenance required
  • Sourcing experience in indirect spend and the Coupa S2P platform a plus
