Position: EM Systems & Integration Research Intern Number of Positions: 1 Duration: 10 weeks Date: June 1 - August 7, 2026 Location: On-site Educational Recommendations: Currently a candidate for an MS or PhD in electrical engineering, applied physics, or a related field at an accredited school in the USA. As part of our team, you will: Work directly with other Nokia Bell Labs researchers and Nokia business units to define novel architectures, perform system analysis, design, simulate, and characterize state-of-the-art RFIC packaging and EM passive components operating in the mm-Wave and near-THz spectrum. Help to provide innovative solutions to emerging applications in the mm-Wave and near-THz spectrum. The candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of RF, micro-, and mm-Wave technologies and have hands-on experience with passive component design and testing. The candidate must be able to contribute effectively and efficiently within a larger team, demonstrating strong communication skills and partnering with other groups in Nokia Bell Labs. Expertise in: Circuit design and simulation software (Keysight ADS, Cadence AWR, or equivalent) 3D EM component design and simulation software (ANSYS HFSS, 3DS CST, or Keysight RFPro) RF test equipment and component characterization Familiarity with: Schematic capture and PCB layout design (Altium, Cadence, or Allegro) SI/PI simulation and analysis Come create the technology that helps the world act together Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
