Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Maintenance Mechanic at a company in South Beloit, IL. This is a direct hire position for 1st shift. Apply now! Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities: - Diagnose problems, plan corrective action and complete repair requirements to restore machines and equipment to full operating condition - Contribute to planning and repair stages of machine and equipment installation and rebuild projects - Familiar with the operation of various types of material handling equipment such as; lift trucks, hoists, cranes etc. - Assist in the planning, and complete installation of hydraulic systems in new building construction and building renovation projects - Develop ability to read and comprehend machine and equipment maintenance manuals, related parts diagrams, prints and layouts - Support and participate in ISO certification and quality improvement processes Requirements for Maintenance Mechanic: - 3+ years of maintenance experience in a variety of capacities: electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and PLC - Problem solving skills to help find creative solutions - Ability to troubleshoot custom equipment and engage in preventative maintenance measures - Thorough understanding of hydraulic principles and operation of hydraulic test equipment - Electrical and hydraulic experience preferred - Participation in formal process improvement, safety teams, etc. - Self-starter - Team-oriented - Excellent organizational skills and follow-through - Valid driver's license QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
