A leader in technology and innovation, client is one of North America's largest wire and cable producers. client and its subsidiaries manufacture building wire and cable, utility products, metal-clad cable, portable and electronic cord products, OEM wire products, and engineered products. In addition, client supplies assembled products, contractor equipment, electrical components, hand tools, and jobsite power and lighting solutions.

The company also offers digital solutions including contractor planning and utility grid resiliency, as well as field services such as cable testing, rejuvenation, and replacement to support customers as a value-add partner.

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer who will drive the growth initiatives of client in servicing the high volume of residential and commercial customers in North America.
  • The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of a variety of complex engineering applications. They will have commercial experience and be proficient in conceptualizing, designing, and deploying scalable, market-ready products and solutions.
  • A Senior Solutions Engineer is instrumental in driving demand creation by capturing the voice of the customer and translating their needs into actionable technical solutions.
  • You will work with customers to understand their challenges.
  • Design optimal solutions using client products/services.
  • Guide the sales process with your technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with both the engineering and product teams to improve solutions based on customer feedback.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide deep technical knowledge about the company's products and services, demonstrating their capabilities and benefits to potential customers.
  • Establish and foster trusted partnerships with key industry stakeholders to uncover strategic insights, emerging innovation trends, and competitive dynamics to shape solution development and drive customer-aligned innovation.
  • Champion customer-centric innovation by leading ideation workshops, fostering cross-functional collaboration to uncover and address voice-of-customer pain points, translating insights into actionable engineering requirements.
  • Identify the customer's technical pain points during the entire life cycle and translate them into new engineering requirements for products, tools, or field solutions.
  • Summarize product features, functionalities, code compliance, and long-term performance and submit the ideas into the Stage-Gate process.
  • Work directly with end users to specify products and services that meet Client's five sustainability attributes from cradle to grave.
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of NEC, NESC, UL, and other relevant industry standards and specifications.
  • Interpret electrical/mechanical drawings (CAD, BIM), including system accessories, to provide best-in-class solutions.



Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).
  • 7-10 Years of Experience in:
  • Engineering: application support and/or product experience in the Wire and Cable, Power, Utility, Manufacturing, or Electrical Industry (required).
  • Product engineering: innovation, design, development, launch, and commercialization.



Preferred Education & Experience

  • Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical).
  • 8-11 Years of Experience in: Extensive field experience in residential, commercial, telecom, or utility product installation.


Certifications/Licenses:

  • CAD, Revit (BIM), Project Management
  • Proficient in Codes & Standards: NEC, ASTM, UL, CSA, IEEE, ICEA, NEMA
  • Professional Engineer (PE)
