Salary Grade: T27

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy and Development, the Mid-Level Development Officer is responsible for managing the mid-level giving program by cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with a portfolio of mid-level donors to deepen their financial support of WRTI's mission to champion music as a vital cultural resource. The Mid-Level Development Officer is a key member of WRTI's Philanthropy team and will work closely with the Major Gifts Officer and Membership to develop effective fundraising strategies and meet fundraising goals.

The Mid-Level Development Officer will develop, implement and oversee solicitation strategies to engage mid-level donors through various channels to identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with mid-level donors (individuals in the $500-$999 giving range). Collaborate with the Philanthropy team to align mid-level giving strategies with overall fundraising goals and implementation of best practices, and emerging strategies in mid-level giving and philanthropy and analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement to improve mid-level giving program strategy and performance. The Mid-Level Development Officer will also assist in planning and executing donor events, including cultivation events, appreciation receptions, and stewardship activities.

This position requires a background check.
This position requires Child Abuse Certifications prior to the commencement of service.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business) * A minimum of five (5) years of experience in non-profit fundraising, donor relations, or a related field.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Experience
* Proven track record of cultivating and stewarding relationships with mid-level donors
* Proficiency in using donor management databases and fundraising software.
* Experience in broadcasting or cultural arts organizations

Required Skills and Abilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with donors, colleagues, and external partners.
* Familiarity with fundraising principles, strategies, and best practices
* Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Demonstrated success in planning for and completing projects on time, on budget and within scope.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
