Position Summary

Precise is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide comprehensive project financial support in collaboration with project management and the finance team. The Financial Analyst will ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and compliance while supporting strategic decision-making.

Must be able to come into Rockville office a few times a month.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide overall project financial support to project managers and the finance team.
• Ensure accuracy of project revenue recognition and cost transactions for both labor and ODCs.
• Review monthly project financial reports for accuracy and prepare distributions.
• Prepare and distribute monthly Internal Project Review financial data to project management.
• Update, monitor, and analyze project forecasts, revenue, and funding levels.
• Meet monthly with project management to review forecast and actual project data.
• Review and approve journal entries, purchase order requests, client invoices, and subcontract/consultant actions.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
• Support project managers with timely financial data and assist in identifying and interpreting project trends and variances.
• Support business practice managers with key system data for monthly data calls to executive management.
• Mentor new staff members to aid in training and professional growth.
• Deliver reliable and timely responses to corporate data calls.
• Provide data for audits and other required reviews.
• Proactively participate in initiatives to improve consistency and standardization in monthly close and analysis processes.
• Participate in system upgrade testing.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
