Job Mission

The IT organization of ASML supports information management, infrastructure and key business processes across ASML. Part of the IT organization is the Core IT services department providing all, mission-critical, IT support services. This not only includes generic IT infrastructure services like laptops and desktops, telecom services, network and datacenters but also the IT applications which are used within ASML. The Head of Core IT US will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the business by developing and implementing strategies to ensure the IT infrastructure remains stable, secure, and resilient for years to come.

You will be part of the Core-IT management team. As a member of the Core-IT management team you will be responsible for creating, maintaining and implementing the ASML strategy on IT risk and compliance, Data Center and Cloud operations, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, IT connectivity and networks, and End User services. You also ensure operational excellence for Core IT Services domains of ASML within the US region. This includes implementing and maintaining security and compliancy controls.

You will manage a team of IT professionals working closely with internal stakeholders (both IT-MT and business leaders) in ASML, as well as external IT suppliers supporting the ASML IT infrastructure.

Job Description

The Head of Core IT US position has a wide range of responsibilities and deliverables, and will be a member of Core IT Services Management Team, reporting to the Global Head of Core IT Services. Responsible for ensuring overall IT operations effectiveness and maximizing end-user productivity. Collaborate closely with IT organizations from the EMEA and Asia regions on standards and roadmaps. Build, establish, and maintain relationships with regional business unit management teams and stakeholders within the Wilton Factory, Cymer, and San Diego Factory, HMI, Brion and US Customer Support operations, fulfilling their demands and addressing their concerns. Together with ASML's strategic partners, deliver high-quality Cloud and Data Center, connectivity, workplace, project management, and collaboration services.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Translate global strategies into manageable goals for the region.

  • Leverage a strong financial acumen with proven ability to effectively manage and deploy a regional budget with input into TAP.

  • Lead teams of professionals in the following competences.

  • US Infrastructure team consisting of Network/Telecom, Cloud operations and On-premise Datacenters.

  • Portfolio and Project Management for US supporting regional IT projects.

  • Collaboration services, including application development and support for M365, SharePoint, and ServiceNow for the US region.

  • Assurance and Resilience in support of IT Risk and Compliance, Backup and Recovery, and Business Continuity.

  • Develop talent, matching people's career goals with the organization's goals.

  • Align Core IT Services collaboration across the IT & Data organization and ASML Business Services (ABS) IT Operations both on a local/regional perspective and on a global perspective. Support ABS IT Operations in realizing the End User Services Strategy developed from EUS ART in the Core IT Platform and Enabling Services teams.

  • Communicate effectively with a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or Information Technology

  • Master's Degree is a plus.

  • At least 10+ years of experience in the domain of IT infrastructure and cloud.

  • Excellent soft skills and proven experience, having acted in relevant positions in similar, global manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledge of ITIL is essential; incident, change management, and all other relevant ITIL disciplinary areas.

  • In-depth understanding and practical experience with IT risk and compliance, Data Center and Cloud operations, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, IT connectivity and networks, and End User services.

  • Strong agile, preferably SAFe, background.

  • Experience with managing vendors and external personal as well as experienced in managing internationally distributed teams.

A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (potentially up to two days a week working from home).
