PURPOSE:
The Factory Standup Program Managerwill lead the strategic and tactical execution of new factory ramp-up initiatives in support of FormFactor's global semiconductor manufacturing expansion. This role is critical to ensuring operational readiness across facilities, cleanroom environments, equipment installation, systems integration, and workforce enablement.
Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, IT, EHS, Supply Chain, and HR, the Program Manager will oversee the development and execution of detailed program roadmaps that ensure successful site launch-on time, within scope and budget, and aligned with the company's strategic semiconductor operations roadmap.
This individual will be responsible for managing interdependent workstreams across highly technical domains, ensuring that equipment, infrastructure, and people are ready for production ramp. This includes cleanroom buildout, tool move-in and qualification, MES integration, and operator onboarding.
You will be at the center of FormFactor's ability to scale semiconductor capacity while ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence in every aspect of the standup process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead end-to-end factory standup and ramp planningfor semiconductor manufacturing facilities, including equipment, process, workforce, and systems readiness.
- Build and manage integrated project schedulesthat align facilities buildout, cleanroom certification, tool install/qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and MES integration.
- Drive alignment across Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, IT, and external vendors to deliver on complex technical dependencies.
- Oversee tool install coordination, working with equipment suppliers and internal teams to manage move-in, hook-up, and qualification timelines.
- Lead operational readiness planning, including workforce onboarding, training, and shift modeling for fab or advanced packaging environments.
- Coordinate with EHS and Facilities to ensure compliance with cleanroom, chemical, gas, electrical, and safety protocols.
- Monitor and report on critical metrics including project milestones, resource utilization, budget adherence, and production readiness KPIs.
- Serve as the primary escalation pointfor risk identification, issue resolution, and change control across program workstreams.
- Ensure that Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), data capture, and automation technologies are deployed and validated in time for ramp.
- Drive change managementto support system transitions, process adoption, and cultural integration in new factory environments.
- Develop and deliver executive-level program updates, dashboards, and recommendations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of program/project management experiencein semiconductor manufacturing, factory operations, or cleanroom environments.
- 2+ years of experience leading factory construction, equipment install, or new line startup projects involving cross-functional technical teams.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong working knowledge of semiconductor fab operations, advanced packaging, test, or related manufacturing workflows.
- Familiarity with tool install sequencing, cleanroom protocols, and technical interdependencies (e.g., vacuum, process gases, high-purity piping).
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or Primavera) and collaborative tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, Teams).
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills; ability to track KPIs and course-correct based on real-time insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences across all levels.
- Detail-oriented and execution-focused, with a proven ability to deliver large-scale technical programs under tight timelines.
- PMP or equivalent certification a plus.
- Experience with MES, SPC, or automation systems (e.g., Camstar, Applied Materials systems) preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence background desirable.
