Position Summary:
The School of Applied Engineering and Technology (SAET) of the Newark College of Engineering at NJIT invites applications for a Research Associate in the Engineering Education Division. The research associate will participate in data collection and analysis, training and supervision of graduate and undergraduate students, preparing manuscripts, presenting at conferences, and grant writing. Candidates nearing graduation are encouraged to apply.

Essential Functions:
-Conduct education research in different aspects of engineering education by performing interview protocol development, survey development, data collection and analysis.
-Prepare manuscripts for submission in peer reviewed journal and present work at conferences.
-Mentor graduate and undergraduate students and manage projects tasks including but not limited to data management, IRB approval, and data collection at sites.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
-A successful candidate for this position requires strong quantitative and qualitative research knowledge and excellent writing skills.
-At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Salary Information:
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the hourly rate for this position is $40.00 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
