Job Title: Clinical Research Postdoctoral Fellow

Job Summary:

A clinical and research postdoctoral fellow position in the field of pediatric diabetes is available at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes (Pediatric Division) at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The fellow will also work within the Department of Endocrinology at Children's Hospital Colorado. This position is funded by a NIH T32 Institutional National Research Award. The fellow will receive systematic training in the specialized knowledge and skills related to the management of pediatric diabetes. The fellow will receive four core training experiences: research, clinical care, research program development, and teaching and consultation. The primary mentors for this position are licensed clinical psychologists with active research programs in pediatric type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Fellows will have the opportunity to receive additional mentorship via team collaborations. Educational opportunities include grand rounds, didactics, and seminars.

Key Responsibilities:

* Approximately 75% of the fellow's time will be spent on research and the other 25% spent in direct clinical care.

* Work to meet requirements for licensure.

* Develop design and execution studies.

* Implement behavioral interventions.

* Work with a multidisciplinary care team

* Manuscript writing and grant preparation.

Work Location:

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Earn a PhD in clinical, counseling, or school psychology OR a related field prior to start of the fellowship.

    • For applicants with degrees in clinical, counseling or school psychology, complete an APA-approved internship prior to starting the fellowship position.

  • Clinical experience with children and adolescents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Pediatric Psychology

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

Postdoctoral Career level 1: $62,232

Postdoctoral Career level 2: $62,652

Postdoctoral Career level 3: $63,120

Postdoctoral Career level 4: $65,640

Postdoctoral Career level 5: $67,824

Postdoctoral Career level 6: $70,960

Postdoctoral Career level 7 or more: $75,564

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
