Manheim, a Cox Automotive brand, is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Manager, Finance, and be responsible for supporting the leadership and direction of the financial activities of the assigned region. The Senior Financial Analyst is a key business partner for the Manager, Finance, as well as the Regional Director, Region Senior Managers, and Auction Leadership. This role will be a key liaison with the COE and other functional business areas.

**Candidates may reside in Central or Western Time Zones, with preference for those in Texas, Arizona, California, Colorado, or Illinois. Regional travel may be up to 25%.**

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Manager in overall financial management of the region, including financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, as well as strategic initiatives and business case development. The role will engage proactively with the business leaders to anticipate business issues and provide financial support for business decisions. This role will partner closely with the Physical Marketplace Finance team to ensure cross regional consistency and collaboration.

A focus on continuous improvement including the enhancement of processes and procedures is essential to success in this position. This includes partnering across the broader finance organization and with key business stakeholders to optimize upstream and downstream processes. Ongoing individual development within the finance organization is another critical success factor including the ability to transform and adapt the organization to the Company's shifting business model and strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Support preparation and review of consolidated monthly and annual financial results.
  • Assist with development and delivery of management presentations for Auction and Regional leadership.
  • Build and maintain relationships with functional business areas including Marketing, Credit & Collections, Operations, and other functions to promote collaboration.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and develop financial models and business cases to identify operational efficiencies and support new investment ideas.
  • Analyze trends and key variances to plans and partner with Manager and region leadership to develop and support improvement plans.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and presentation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Assist in development of driver-based models to support region.
  • Collaborate with internal customers and peers in developing reporting tools which appropriately solve the needs of the business and provide strategic support.


Leadership & Development:

  • Remain current on best practices and trends relevant to finance and related technologies.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at operating locations, and key corporate stakeholders, ensuring that they understand and value the services provided by the Finance team and respond to feedback regarding opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across Cox Automotive to ensure appropriate service levels are being provided.


Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, or accounting preferred with 4+ years of experience including a focus in financial analysis and business case modeling. A candidate may also have a Master's Degree with 2+ years of experience or a Ph.D with 1 year of relevant experience. Non-degreed candidates will have 8+ years of experience.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and a high degree of intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner and explain financials to various audiences.
  • Energetic, resourceful, and hands-on individual with a strong bias for action.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including financial functions, formulas, shortcuts, pivot tables, lookups, charting/graphing) and command of PowerPoint (design, formatting, charting/graphing).
  • Highly-organized with high sense of ownership and excellent follow-through.
  • Ability to operate and work across functional groups in a matrixed organization.
  • Self-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple changing priorities, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Experienced in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating individual and team activities.
  • Advanced MS PowerPoint skills preferred, with an emphasis on effective, professional presentation design/formatting.


USD 79,400.00 - 119,000.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $79,400.00 - $119,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
