Function:

Maintenance Job Summary:The Maintenance Planner is responsible for managing planned work and developing job plans for routine and turnaround maintenance activities. This safety-sensitive role focuses on improving asset availability and work execution efficiency by generating detailed job steps, estimating resources, and creating field-ready job packets. Continuous improvement of plans based on execution feedback is expected.

This position reports to the Maintenance Planning Supervisor and works onsite. Job Description:

The Planner is responsible for managing planned work and developing job plans for routine and turnaround maintenance activities. This safety-sensitive role focuses on improving asset availability and work execution efficiency by generating detailed job steps, estimating resources, and creating field-ready job packets. Continuous improvement of plans based on execution feedback is expected.

This position reports to the Maintenance Planning Supervisor and works onsite.

You Will

  • Lead by example in promoting safety and supporting plant safety initiatives.
  • Develop detailed job plans for routine, preventive, corrective, and turnaround maintenance, including scopes, step sequences, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and cost estimates.
  • Clarify incomplete work requests, group related work orders, and determine planning levels based on job criticality.
  • Coordinate purchase requisitions and orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Identify permitting and isolation requirements, and create job plans with procedures for recurring tasks.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors and Engineers to maintain spare parts inventory, build and update bills of materials, and improve task lists based on crew feedback.
  • Review work scopes for Management of Change (MOC) triggers and prepare comprehensive job packets with relevant documentation.

You Have

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of planning experience and 3-5 years in an industrial maintenance environment, preferably in a chemical/petrochemical facility.
  • Ability to understand mechanical systems, maintenance scheduling, and procurement processes.
  • Experience with CMMS (SAP preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Primavera is a plus.
  • Ability to manage non-routine and emergency activities such as schedule breakers, shutdowns, and startups.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
