Description We're seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and timely resolution of carrier invoice discrepancies, supporting internal teams, and maintaining strong relationships across departments and external partners. You'll be responsible for analyzing invoice issues, building shipments, updating shipment attributes, and collaborating with Operations, Carrier Pricing, Procurement, and Helpdesk teams. Your ability to communicate professionally and effectively will be key to your success. * Resolve carrier invoice discrepancies using company guidelines, customer business rules, and carrier rate agreements. * Create shipments for non-managed freight based on customer-specific requirements. * Understand account-specific requirements, including required charges, business rules, and carrier contracts. * Support Operations with financial issues related to their accounts. * Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities for customers. * Collaborate internally with Operations, Procurement, and Carrier Pricing to resolve rating and accessorial invoice discrepancies. * Set up new customer and vendor locations in the Transportation Management System (TMS), leveraging knowledge of customer business practices. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills * Accounts Payable * Microsoft Excel * Invoice Resolution * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication-professional, prompt, and courteous. * Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. * Familiarity with transportation, logistics, or freight operations is a plus. * Experience with TMS or similar systems preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Proficient in all Microsoft Office suite of products and tools * 2+ years of Accounts Payable (or related field) in the Transportation industry preferred * In-depth knowledge of TMS and TMS Financials systems * Effective analytical and problem-solving capabilities * Ability to envision and implement new concepts/strategies * Simultaneous management of multiple tasks * Industry expertise (transportation industry knowledge, including key terminology and general knowledge of primary customer industries) Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
