Description We are seeking a skilled Level 3 Data Center Technician to join our IT team. The Data Center Technician's responsibilities include maintaining the data center's IT system, troubleshooting issues, performing server installations, and ensuring uninterrupted access to network services. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a strong understanding of network infrastructure and data center operations. Familiarity with server installations and network updates is also required. The candidate should also have GPU experience and 4 plus years in a hyperscale environment. Responsibilities: oMove servers and switches to required destinations for installation. oInspect servers and switches to ensure they are not damaged. oInstall servers and switches and cable them according to provided wire maps. oEnsure all cables are bundled neatly and in accordance with standards. oDouble-check with network admins to ensure everything is cabled correctly and all connections are up. oInstall additional components needed (NIC, Drive, Memory). oTroubleshoot a variety of servers and isolate the problem that the server is encountering. oUpdate firmware on servers to ensure the latest version is installed. oConfigure IP addresses and default login credentials on servers. oAssist network admins on any issues they are having with a server, including replacing broken or damaged cables, re-routing cables to different ports on the server or switch, replacing optics on both server and switch ports, changing out parts, and installing upgraded versions of those parts in servers. oTemporarily rack and stack a server or switch in a cabinet and cable it so the network admin can remotely log in and run configurations on the device. oAssist network admins who reach out requesting specific assistance with servers or switches. oDeploy and configure GPUs in servers, ensuring proper installation and functionality. oPerform break-fix tasks, including troubleshooting and replacing faulty components. Provide advanced troubleshooting support and resolution of tickets. Ensure compliance with safety measures and data center standards. Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). Flexibility to work non-standard business hours that may include weekends and/or holidays. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds when necessary. Ability to safely climb ladders when necessary. Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly when necessary. Ability to stand and walk throughout the facility for extended periods without loss or reduction of productivity. CompTIA Server+ or equivalent experience. CCENT or equivalent experience. Windows OS experience. CCNA certification preferred. MCP/MSCE certification preferred. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
