Medical Secretary - Cardiology Practice (Wallingford & Cheshire, CT) Join a respected, independent cardiology practice dedicated to excellence in patient care. Schedule: Monday - Friday Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Location: Wallingford and Cheshire, CT (must be able to work at both offices) Pay Rate: $19-$21/hour Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Secretary to support our esteemed client-a leading cardiology practice known for its patient-first approach and clinical excellence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and values professionalism, empathy, and precision. Key Responsibilities * Greet and check patients in and out for cardiology appointments * Schedule and reschedule patient appointments with accuracy and care * Triage incoming calls to providers, RNs, and medical staff * Maintain a high standard of patient access and satisfaction * Register new and returning patients * Verify insurance coverage and eligibility Required Skills & Qualifications * Experience in patient scheduling and medical appointment coordination * Proficiency in patient intake and registration workflows * Strong understanding of insurance verification processes * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Ability to multitask and remain organized in a clinical setting Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
