Job Posting: Low Voltage Service Technician Location: Nashville, TN Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Recruiting Partner: TEKsystems Overview: TEKsystems is seeking a Low Voltage Service Technician to support a growing installation team. This is a ground-floor opportunity to become the first dedicated Service Technician, enabling the team to expand beyond cable installs into full hardware support. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is comfortable wearing multiple hats, and is excited to help shape a new service offering from the ground up. Responsibilities: * Perform service work using multi-meters and testers to trace and resolve issues. * Install and service Access Control systems, CCTV, Voice/Data networks, and Fiber Optics. * Support hardware installation projects alongside a helper when service work is limited. * Drive own vehicle to job sites (mileage reimbursement + vehicle usage surplus provided). * Transition to full-time employment (FTE) as the team and service demand grow. Required Skills & Experience: Access Control Systems * Installation and servicing experience required. * Genetec experience is a strong plus. * Fiber Optics (Single & Multi-mode) * Must have installed, certified, and troubleshot fiber using OTDR and Fluke tools. * CCTV Systems * Ability to install and troubleshoot camera systems. * Experience with Avigilon preferred, but other systems are acceptable. * Voice/Data Networks * Proven experience installing, certifying, and servicing structured cabling systems. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
