Top Global Tech Company Seeking Design Eng/Prototyper Hybrid in either NYC or Bay Area Job Title: Design Engineer Overview: We're looking for a Design Engineer with a strong blend of product design and engineering skills to help evolve and scale a high-impact design system. This role focuses on improving design workflows, building infrastructure and tooling, and enabling consistent visual and functional experiences across platforms. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with design systems engineering teams to implement scalable updates using themes and design tokens. * Enhance infrastructure and tooling to elevate the look and feel of core product experiences. * Partner with designers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design system changes. * Present work and strategic insights to peers, product teams, and leadership. Required Skills & Experience: * 5+ years of experience shipping software products. * Strong front-end development and prototyping skills, including experience with Origami Studio. * Proven experience designing and implementing design system components (themes, tokens). * Solid understanding of design principles across mobile, desktop, and native platforms. * Ability to work across the full design lifecycle: ideation, prototyping, development, validation, and user research. * Portfolio showcasing shipped products and creative technical solutions. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with design systems at scale. * Familiarity with tools like Figma, Sketch, and other prototyping platforms. * Strong communication and collaboration skills in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
