Job Description

The Production Lead (1st Shift) will be responsible for loading/unloading material for incoming and outgoing shipment and verifying all necessary paperwork is completed. They will assist with quality checks and completing all necessary paperwork for outgoing material. Also, they will assist in the transport of materials between buildings, utilizing overhead cranes, yard trucks, etc. and communicate production needs based on shipment schedule. The Production Lead also acts as the safety liaison while on the warehouse floor.

Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
  • Knowledge of basic computer applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook. ERP experience preferred
  • Experienced with overhead cranes, forklifts, yard trucks and various operations equipment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team of diverse individuals
  • Ability to plan and schedule to meet customer needs
  • Ability to lead and train other employees
  • Experience with stainless and carbon steel as well as aluminum strongly preferred
  • Mig, Tig and Flux core experience preferred
  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics strongly preferred
