PPBE Specialist

This position requires an active TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph clearance or the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph clearance to be considered.

A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.

The PPBE Specialist supports planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) functions for federal and defense programs, with a focus on Army GEOINT community equities. This role provides financial analysis, risk assessment, and strategic planning support to ensure efficient resource allocation and compliance with DoD policies. The specialist engages with internal and external stakeholders to align funding with program objectives and oversee implementation of approved plans.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for PPBE Specialist: $170,000 to $185,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

PPBE Specialist Responsibilities Include:

  • Attend Resource Management Working Groups and other agency-level meetings; prepare executive summaries and briefings for leadership.
  • Support strategic intermediate- and long-term planning, coordination, and oversight of program equities.
  • Analyze current budget execution and perform financial and risk analysis to identify potential challenges and optimize resource allocation.
  • Support the PPBE lifecycle by assisting with planning, programming, budgeting, and execution functions.
  • Provide expertise in procurement and contract support, ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, AFARS, and DoD acquisition regulations.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to support leadership decisions and program performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with program managers, financial analysts, and contracting officers to ensure alignment of resources and effective implementation of plans. Site physical security and access control
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

PPBE Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • At least 7 years (within the past 10) of experience in PPBE functions supporting military intelligence or defense programs.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of recent experience as a procurement analyst, resource manager, or contract specialist supporting federal contracts.
  • 5 years of experience supporting Military Intelligence programs.
  • Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.
  • Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition planning, financial systems, and applicable procurement regulations (FAR, DFARS, AFARS).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Army GEOINT or other intelligence community programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with DoD resource management processes and agency-level planning initiatives preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
