About Our Team
Lenovo's AI Ecosystem team is creating AI-powered experiences that deliver intelligent experiences across Lenovo's device portfolio. As Sr. UX Design Manager, you'll lead the user experience strategy and execution across this complex, AI-driven product landscape, shaping how users move through, interact with, and benefit from our cross-platform ecosystem.

This is a leadership role focused on interaction design, UX architecture, and complex cross-platform AI ecosystem design. You'll directly manage and mentor UX designers, set system-wide patterns, and collaborate closely with UX, product, and engineering to define and scale elegant user flows that feel intuitive to use. You will also work globally across regions and time zones to create guidance that empowers other teams.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a team of UX designers in crafting flows, navigation models, and interaction patterns for AI-powered, cross-device experiences.

  • Define and scale UX architecture principles that ensure consistency, clarity, and usability across platforms.

  • Partner with stakeholders and leadership to align structure and interaction with visual hierarchy and aesthetics.

  • Oversee the creation of UX system guidance and frameworks that empower other teams to implement design standards.

  • Collaborate across global design and development teams, bridging time zones and cultural contexts to ensure cohesion in experience delivery.

  • Translate product requirements and technical constraints into coherent UX strategies that span across an ecosystem of products.

  • Oversee the development of UX documentation, from user flows to interaction specs, ensuring clarity for engineering and consistency for design.

  • Facilitate working sessions and design critiques across global teams

  • Drive UX alignment by identifying common interaction patterns and opportunities for simplification or standardization.

  • Stay ahead of emerging interaction patterns, especially in AI, multimodal interfaces, and emerging technology.

Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years in UX or interaction design, with at least 3+ years in a management role

  • A strong portfolio that showcases your experience designing and shipping for complex product ecosystems (mobile, desktop, tablets, or multimodal devices)

  • Expertise in information architecture, interaction design, and system-level user experience

  • Experience leading distributed, global teams

  • Experience in tools such as Figma for prototyping and documentation

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in HCI, Design, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on AI-enabled or adaptive interfaces

  • Familiarity with hardware-software design challenges and opportunities

  • Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities

  • Experience in pod-based/agile design environments

  • Comfort managing across time zones or distributed teams

The base salary range budgeted for this position is $190,000 - $200,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
