Overview

Coborn's Inc. is hiring an IT Project Manager (PM) to assist in supporting our corporate and retail teams! In this role, you will lead the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional projects that drive business transformations across the organization. You will manage operational process improvements, technology implementations (such as POS, inventory, labor management, ERP, HR, and pharmacy systems), store remodels, and other enterprise-wide efforts. Success in this role requires a focus on operational excellence and a commitment to enhancing both the guest and employee experiences through effective change management and disciplined execution.

Additional Duties Include:

  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional projects that support business transformation in grocery retail, including store operations, merchandising, supply chain, IT systems, HR, and in-store technology initiatives (e.g., POS, inventory, labor management, ERP, and loyalty programs).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the store support center and field leadership to define project scope, success metrics, and business, translating retail-specific needs into clear project deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain structured project plans, timelines, and budgets in alignment with emerging project management office (PMO) standards; ensure consistent execution across stores, corporate teams, and vendor partners.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring cross-functional accountability among departments such as Merchandising, Store Operations, IT, and Finance, while effectively managing third-party vendors.
  • Track project performance through operational KPIs and milestones; proactively manage risks and resource challenges, with an ability to adjust plans as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, compelling project updates to executive leadership and steering committees-providing visibility into timelines, risks, wins, and strategic alignment with company objectives.
  • Ensure financial discipline in managing project budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service levels and operational feasibility in a grocery retail setting.
  • Mitigate risks and manage change with structured approaches to scope control, communication planning, and contingency strategies-especially in fast-paced retail environments where store execution is critical.
  • Lead change management activities to ensure smooth rollout and adoption of new systems and processes at the store level, including field communications, training, and feedback loops.
  • Act as a connector between store teams and support functions, translating front-line needs into scalable enterprise solutions that improve customer and employee experience.
  • Promote project visibility and transparency through cross-functional communication, fostering shared accountability within a new PMO environment still building its identity and influence.
  • Engage in continuous learning and leadership exposure, taking initiative to grow within the PMO by learning retail business drivers, contributing to process standardization, and building credibility

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Retail Management, Project Management, or related field. Master's degree a plus.
  • Minimum of five+ years of experience managing large, cross-functional projects, ideally within a retail or multi-unit business environment.
  • Experience with leading multiple projects, managing priorities, and resource management

Skills, Certificates, & Licenses

  • Strong understanding of store operations, retail systems, merchandising, and change management principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Pay Range

USD $82,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
