Job Title: Engineer III, Test FLSA Status: Exempt Department: Engineering Reports to: Manager, Engineering Product Support GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE: The Engineer III,Test is responsible for developing test plans and conducting tests on mechanical, electrical, & fluid systems. Provide direction to junior engineers and technicians to support testing initiatives. Lead the development of fixtures and data acquisition needs to complete testing. Analyze complex data and provide conclusions regarding improvements to machine performance and solve reliability issues. Provides engineering support to internal and external customers and performs other tasks as assigned. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Operational Excellence
BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Technical Learning Experience: 7+ years' experience of test engineering; developing and executing test plans, selecting equipment to meet test criteria, and writing test reports. Experience directing the activities of junior engineers or technicians. Experience with domestic and international testing standards and compliance regulations, as well as an understanding of the networks and resources available to answer technical questions related to systems testing validation. Experience in Project engineering or related experience leading multi-discipline technical design teams or department or group management responsibility including functional oversight, budget and expense management and personnel performance management. Licenses/Certifications: Obtain and maintain railroad safety training and credentials Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Certain positions may be eligible for an annual bonus and paid time off in addition to base compensation. Starting pay for the position is between $95,892.00 - $119,865.00.
