The McKesson Corporate Strategy and Business Development (CSBD) Enterprise Strategy and Operations (ES & Ops) team is seeking a Manager, CSBD Operations based in Dallas, TX. Reporting to the Director of CSBD Operations, this role is critical to the successful execution of CSBD's broad operational mandate, which spans financial planning, strategic initiative management, team engagement, and internal communications.

This individual will lead and manage a wide range of backend operational functions that ensure the CSBD department runs efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities include content development, internal communications, event coordination and records management that support strategic priorities and foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture. The Manager will also play a key role in implementing and optimizing work processes, managing cross-functional initiatives, and driving continuous improvement across CSBD operations.

Success in this role requires a strong grasp of company operations, policies, and procedures, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Manager will apply sound judgment within established practices and policies to identify solutions, deliver results, and support the department's strategic goals.

Position Description

Team Content & Communications (30%)

  • Manages monthly department newsletter creation and production for the CSBD team
  • Supports news sourcing, formatting, and dissemination for CSBD Daily News in partnership with Senior Director, Enterprise Strategy
  • Manages CSBD new hire onboarding deck & CSBD department intranet (i.e., CSBD Hub content updates)
  • Supports department meeting material development and internal communications across department, as needed
  • Disseminates pre and post departmental meeting materials, event recaps, and video recordings

Event Support (30%)

  • Supports the McKesson event planners with scheduling and logistics planning for a variety of small events, including in-office and offsite departmental gatherings
  • Coordinates event logistics such as calendar invitations, attendee list management, event communications, space reservations, catering, room setup, virtual meeting preparation and invoice reconciliation
  • Brings a customer-focused mindset and actively contributes ideas to enhance team programs and event experiences
  • Supports engagement with McKesson Real Estate for office and meeting space management at headquarters

"Great Place to Work" Operational Support (30%)

  • Manages the CSBD departmental calendar and inbox
  • Manages adding new team members to distribution lists, calendar invitations, etc.
  • Manages upkeep of CSBD distribution lists, organizational charts, and significant events
  • Champions and fosters a community for CSBD Executive Admins, including maintaining routine communications, developing agendas, and facilitating monthly meetings
  • Supports other ad hoc requests as necessary

Financial and Procurement Support (10%)

  • Processes and reconciles expenses, including PCard transactions and purchase orders
  • Monitors outstanding payments and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience supporting senior-level executives, internal teams, or external partners in a corporate environment, with a focus on operational coordination, communications, and engagement
  • 2+ years of experience managing content development, event logistics, or internal communications within a large, matrixed organization
  • 2+ years' time and project management skills, effectively prioritizing tasks, managing multiple workstreams, and ensuring timely execution of deliverables independently
  • High degree of emotional intelligence, adaptability, confidentiality, discretion, diplomacy, and tact.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills to address challenges and ensure seamless event execution
  • Professional, calm demeanor and presentation, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Outlook and ability to quickly master enterprise platforms such as MS Office suite, Copilot, Staffbase, Webex, Ariba, travel and expense systems, and supply ordering portals

Preferred Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in operational or executive support roles within a corporate environment
  • Experience within healthcare or a large, matrixed organization preferred but not required
  • Brings energy, enthusiasm, and a collaborative spirit to team culture and engagement efforts.
  • Comfortable working under general direction and applying judgment when guidance is less prescriptive.
  • Team-oriented approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Experience planning and executing small-scale events, including logistics and communications.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive mindset toward learning and growth.

Education

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • A college degree (BA/BS) is preferred

Physical Requirements

  • General Office Demands. Must be able to lift light-weight boxes (e.g., office supplies, cases of water).

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$70,900 - $118,100
