GENERAL FUNCTION

The purpose of the CI engineer is to develop, promote, and support the execution of the continuous improvement program. Working in partnership with labs to design and implement changes in process,capability, and culture aimed in improving operational excellence. The target is to support thecoordination, organization, and implementation of standardization of key performance indicators in our US Industrial Labs. The CI Engineer will partner with Quality, LOFT, GE,and Production teams to coordinate and implement changes in process, capability, and culture targeted on improving Operational Excellence in the lab with a strong focus on supporting the standardized
implementation of LIFE, LOFT, and QMS/ISO.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Able to use flow simulation tools and propose improvement actions.
  • Support the implementation of LIFE, QMS, and LOFT across the US Industrial Network in a


standardized manner to achieve one consistent methodology and standard.



  • Able to use flow simulation tools and propose improvement actions.
  • Support the set up of SOP/PCP
  • Ensure that appropriate action plans are in place
  • Support developing a lean manufacturing culture
  • Development and sharing of the best lean practices
  • Support lean training


Skills/Competencies:



  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing & continuous improvement tools
  • Fast learning, analytical skill, proactive, accurate, and well organized
  • Action oriented, able to solve problems on the shop floor, drive for results
  • Able to deal with diverse people at any level of the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including interest for people development
  • Ability to listen & integrate business needs with detailed technical inputs
  • Knowledge of statistical programs



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Engineering degree
  • 8+ Years of Experience
  • Proven excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate, facilitate and negotiate at all organizational levels on a worldwide basis
