Position Title: Maintenance Technician Wage: $25.00 - $32.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:00am - 3:00pm (Monday - Thursday) Keep Operations Running Strong! Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: - Inspect, repair, and replace components on conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulic presses, pneumatic lines, chains, belts, bearings and rotating equipment - Perform machine alignments and mechanical adjustments to ensure smooth operation - Troubleshoot mechanical failures including vibration, overheating, wear, or misalignment issues - Fabricate or modify machine parts using hand tools, welding equipment, or machining when necessary - Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems including AC/DC motors, VFDs, sensors, relays, contactors, and solenoids - Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and wiring diagrams to trace faults or shorts - Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot input/output (I/O) issues, reset faults, and perform minor logic modifications - Maintain, calibrate, and replace safety switches, photoeyes, encoders, and HMI displays - Execute daily, weekly, and monthly PM schedules to inspect and lubricate machinery and ensure continued reliability - Use vibration analysis, thermography, and other predictive tools to monitor machine condition - Maintain detailed maintenance logs, record downtime events, and document completed repairs using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Requirements for Maintenance Technician: - Previous maintenance experience - Electromechanical experience and a commitment to continuous training, especially in automation - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills - Exceptional mechanical aptitude, with electrical experience and troubleshooting ability - Strong attention to quality workmanship and accuracy - Good organizational skills - Excellent attendance - Ability to lift up to 50lbs - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision wausau@qpsemployment.com IND050 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
