Position Summary Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) supporting the US Space Force mission to defend National Security Interests in Space as a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Systems Project Engineer supporting Space Operations Command Mission Delta 2 (SpOC MD 2), Mission Integration Directorate (SpOC MD2/MID). SDA is foundational to Protecting and Defending US Space Systems that provide space-based Intelligence, Early Warning, Communications and Global Positioning services that sustain our way of life, support our national economy and act as force multipliers in times of conflict. SpOC MD 2 leads SDA operations with current SDA programs of record, networks, and Command and Control (C2) data exploitation and dissemination systems and is responsible for operations and sustainment of existing ground-based optical and radar sensor systems including Eglin Radar, Space Fence, C-Band Radar, Australia, the Ground-Based Electro Optical Deep Space Surveillance (GEODSS) system, and the Space Surveillance Telescope (SST). Odyssey Systems provides A&AS support to the Government in five areas: Product Support, Sustainment Engineering & Sustainment Management, Technical Order Management, Technical User Interface, and System Design, Engineering, and Integration. These tasks are executed laterally with SpOC, USSPACECOM, Space Systems Command, development contractors, and SDA stakeholders. This is a full-time position at Peterson SFB, Colorado Springs, CO with the potential to tele-work 1-2 days per week at the discretion of the government. Responsibilities An A&AS contractor is a knowledgeable and trusted advisor to the Government. As an SDA Systems Project Engineer, you will join the MID team and perform a wide range of project management and engineering tasks, research, studies, and analysis that provide engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation for complex systems in the engineering disciplines. You will provide A&AS support for the engineering and testing of Advanced and Legacy SDA systems. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Develop engineering schedules and costs estimates; support the Program Manager to monitor and analyze cost and schedule performance
Qualifications Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Minimum Required Qualifications: Clearance: Active Secret clearance, eligible for Top Secret/SCI Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Technology, or a technical space related discipline Years of Experience: 4 or more years of relevant experience with 2 years in a Systems Engineering, Test Engineering, technical space analysis role in a Program Office, operational technical staff, or Sustainment organization supporting similar Department of Defense or Intelligence Community Space Surveillance systems OR,
Preferred Qualifications: Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance Certifications: Defense Acquisition University (DAU), Department of Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) or equivalent certification in Test and Evaluation, Engineering, or Program Management Other Qualifications:
