FTE 0.8Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours 64Work Shift Day: 8 hoursJob Description This position is responsible for timely, accurate charge capture entry for the assigned Service Line/unit into the billing database for analysis. Information is obtained through chart review and assessment of documentation for appropriate charges within regulatory compliance. The coordinator will also be responsible for auditing charges for omissions and accuracy. The goal is to take advantage of all opportunities for patient reimbursement as documented in the patient record in a cost-effective manner while complying with federal/state and APC guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma. Two (2) years' experience in a clinical setting, or two years administrative support experience. Medical terminology and basic knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. Charge capture experience preferred. Excellent English, verbal and written communication skills. Excellent communication and public relation skills, able to handle multiple tasks and interruptions. Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel. Experience using HBOC, ECHO and Chart One software systems. Excellent organizational skills. Able to work effectively as a team member under multiple demands and expectations.
