Job Description Summary:
The safety clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate records and daily safety operations across the company. You will be responsible for a wide range of safety functions including the tracking and electronic filing of sensitive onboarding information items such as TB results, background checks, driver licenses, and insurance. Will be tasked with reviewing security vendor invoices, Safety Committee attendance and note taking, reviewing the Safety inbox, and instructing the Safety NEO presentation.
This position requires a highly organized, people-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills.
Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Excellent file organization; will be trusted to move accurately through vast projects and updates to data entry, invoice review, and preparation for scanning and filing of documents.
- Follow-up with onboarding staff for TB testing and background checks.
- Ensuring all fleet-authorized users have proper licensure and up-to-date insurance.
- Review employee DMV pull notices and alert Safety team of non-compliance. File to Dynafile for accurate employee DMV records.
- Presents for New Employee Orientation and any other Safety training capacity.
- Attends monthly Safety Committee meetings to track attendance and take notes.
- Knowledge and ongoing learning of best practices of Safety protocols and procedures, workplace violence, and incident reporting.
- Will have access to confidential information and must be dependable with respect to confidentiality.
- Respond to Safety emails in a timely manner and support staff with safety concerns.
- Improve your own expertise through Relias and projects with support of Safety and Risk Manager.
- Perform related duties as assigned or requested.
Job Description Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
- Knowledge of or ability to learn Dynafile, Relias, Dayforce, DMV Pull-notice, and Wellness Mart.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment in sensitive situations.
- Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service.
- Must be able to work in-office 5 days a week at Arlington HQ.
- Willingness to train and continuously improve.
- Willing to collaborate and take direction for the purpose of meeting agency goals.
