Data Strategy Consultant

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Strategy Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading efforts to develop and deliver complex data solutions to achieve technology and business objectives. As a Data Strategy Consultant, you will play a crucial role in guiding stakeholders, Product Owners, and Software Engineers through the design and execution processes. Your expertise will be essential in providing technical thought leadership based on your extensive experience with implementing multiple complex data solutions.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 8 years' experience designing and developing reports in Tableau and at least 2 years' experience with Power BI
• Advanced proficiency in data modeling and relational databases
• Strong expertise in tools such as SQL, SSIS, Hadoop Oracle, or Teradata
• Ability to write SQL stored procedures and work independently as well as part of a team
• Knowledge of bank processes is a plus
• Proficient in statistical computer languages (Python, SQL, Hive, etc.) for data manipulation and insights extraction
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and statistical concepts
• Excellent communication skills for effective coordination across teams
• Experience with Agile Methodologies and the ability to quickly grasp new technologies

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with distributed data/computing tools like Hadoop, Hive, MySQL, etc.
• Background in using AutoSys for operational support and monitoring daily ETL jobs
• Strong experience in data mining and analysis methods for model building and implementation
• Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex data solutions within a corporate environment

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work onsite in Charlotte, NC, 3 days a week
• Ability to travel occasionally as needed
• Certifications in relevant technologies are a plus
