Essential Job Duties |
We are seeking a faculty member to teach and mentor students in the Master of Science in Analytics (
MSA) program. This position plays a key role in preparing students for success through high-quality instruction, curriculum innovation, and professional coaching.
What You'll Do
- Teach assigned courses during summer, fall, and spring semesters in both classroom and online formats.
- Develop curriculum, instructional materials, and assessment tools.
- Mentor and support students on practicum projects, guiding presentations and final reports for industry sponsors.
- Provide individualized coaching and group instructional support to MSA students.
- Supervise graduate teaching assistant(s).
- Participate in scholarly and service activities, including research, consulting, and outreach aligned with Institute priorities.
- Serve on the Admissions Committee.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- An earned doctorate in statistics, applied mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Strong knowledge of statistical applications in both supervised and unsupervised learning contexts.

Other Required Qualifications |
- Skilled in delivering engaging instruction, providing constructive feedback, and collaborating with colleagues and partners to advance program goals.
- Ability to work collaboratively in course design and delivery.
- Programming experience in statistical programming and/or R.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Ability to develop, coordinate, and teach graduate-level courses.
- Experience working with standard statistical software packages, e.g., SAS, R, and Python.
- Ability to develop and deliver instructional modules in linear algebra, multivariate analyses, probability distributions, and optimization.
- Teaching experience in the fields of optimization techniques, data mining, regression analysis, linear algebra, and survival analysis.
