Primary Purpose of the Organization: |
The
Department of Educational Leadership and School Administration purpose is to prepare knowledgeable, reflective, and caring professional leaders in the field of educational leadership across the educational spectrum (PK-12 and Higher Education). The Department offers two accredited graduate degree programs, namely, the Master of School Administration (
MSA), which is designed to lead to North Carolina principal licensure and the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degrees. The programs are designed to prepare PK-12 school executives, higher education administrators, and education supervisors as facilitators of learning at all levels of educational institutions.

Primary Purpose of the Position: |
The College of Education at Fayetteville State University is seeking applicants with credentials in Educational Leadership and School Administration for a
tenure track, nine (9)-month faculty position as an Associate or full Professor. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach at the graduate level(s) in both the Ed.D and
MSA Programs. The purpose of the position is to enhance student learning in the following areas but not limited to: education statistics, research methods, societal and cultural influences of schooling, teaching and learning process, organizational leadership, leadership and management, policy studies and politics of education, and ethical dimensions of schooling. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: |
- An earned doctoral degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, Higher/Adult /K-12 Education from an accredited institution
- Higher education teaching and service experience at an accredited university with a record of excellent teaching, advising, and service.
- Leadership experience in the K-12 school system or higher education.
- Research presentation or publication record with eligibility for graduate faculty status.
- Experience mentoring or supervising interns or related work.
- Strong technological skills, communication, and organizational skills.
