Your Opportunity: Taylor is seeking a 2nd shift Team Lead of Warehouse and Receiving, who will play a critical role in overseeing daily operations in the warehouse and receiving department. This role includes coordinating team activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and optimizing workflow to meet production and delivery schedules.

Your Shift:

  • 2nd Shift; Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm

Your Responsibilities:

  • Practice the Taylor Core Values
  • Supervise and lead a team of warehouse and receiving associates, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring optimal workload distribution among team members
  • Train new employees in warehouse and receiving procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate, both on physical documentation and electronically
  • Coordinate with logistics providers and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Conduct regular inspections of received goods to verify quantity and quality against purchase orders
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper stock levels and organization of materials
  • Monitor and report any discrepancies in inventory or warehouse/receiving processes to management
  • Promote and enforce safety practices within the team, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all departmental procedures
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in warehouse and receiving operations
  • Provide feedback to management regarding team performance and operational challenges
  • Proactively addresses team performance against established standards
  • Proactively manages scheduled shipments, coordinating with production management to ensure timely deliveries
  • Maintains accurate records in MRP system

You Must Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus
  • Proven experience in warehouse and receiving operations, with a minimum of 2-5 years in a supervisory or team lead role
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and warehouse management systems

Requirements within this position:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

The anticipated hourly pay for this position is $22.00 - 25.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employees.
